The VIP group are available to train staff on how to support someone who has a learning difficulty or other difficulties such as mental health issues, English as a second language.

During the past year some of the organisations we have trained are staff from Enfield and Hertfordshire Libraries, Front Line staff at London Borough of Hackney, Enfield Police and Hate Crime Forum.

The VIP group work with two trainers from One to One, giving staff a safe space to explore their concerns and difficulties around supporting customers who have a learning disability or other hidden disabilities.

The trainers work alongside organisations to plan individual packages. We meet as many times as is necessary to ensure the training day will meet the organisations aims and objectives. The day can be interactive training or short plays about specific issues. You are being trained by the experts not by someone who thinks they know what it is like to have a disability.
