Autism and Cancer Research

One To One Enfield is conducting a research project to better understand the experiences of autistic individuals and their families when accessing cancer-related information and support.

Our study focuses on two groups:

1. Autistic individuals who have received a cancer diagnosis.

2. Autistic individuals who have had a close family member or carer diagnosed with cancer.

The goal of this is to find out what kinds of support and resources are currently available to help autistic people understand and navigate cancer care. To do this, we have created two questionnaires both printable and tailored for each group to share their stories and experiences.

Once we collect the responses, we will look for common themes and patterns in what people tell us. The results will be used to write an article sharing what we have learned and using the findings to develop better resources and support for autistic individuals and their families affected by cancer.

Did you know that Enfield has a diverse and well established Voluntary and Community Sector with over 650 groups across the borough?

We are happy to announce that One To One Enfield has been awarded a grant from The National Lottery Community Fund, the UK's largest community funder which awards money from The National Lottery to strengthen society and improve lives.
